Studio Ramin Visch
Amsterdam
2005, 2007
Graphic Design (18), Web Design (12), Content Management System (4)
Studio Ramin Visch is an agency for interior architecture, based in Amsterdam.
They asked me to design a website with CMS.
Ramin gives a lot of attention to the documentation of his work, that is made by regular photographer Jeroen Musch. Ramin wanted a minimalistic website, in which the photography would take center stage and that would support his existing paper documentation.
The design refers to .pdf-files, as a means of emphasizing the documentary character of the site.
I collected all the types of pages that usually separately appear on a website (work, contact, news, etcetera) into one tall document. Above each of these pages the menu is shown. When you click a menu item, the entire document automatically moves up or down to the corresponding section.
Two years after completion of the original website, Studio Ramin Visch renewed their branding and asked me to give their website a visual update. This has been realised without having to change the underlying system or content.
The site is bilingual (English, Dutch) and features a simple CMS that Studio Ramin Visch can use to create, format and organize menu items and pages.
The English and Dutch site both use the same system and template, but can be independently organized and filled with content.
